About

TempleOS in the browser

Primary path is a real HolyC runtime via Aiwnios WebAssembly, with a software recreation as fallback.

Modes

Aiwnios WASM (default)

A real 64-bit HolyC compiler/runtime compiled to WebAssembly with SDL2. Closer to authentic TempleOS; needs WebGL and a ~10 MB download.

Software Experience

Boot screen, 16-color desktop, Adam command line, virtual filesystem, editor, and Snake. Instant fallback when WASM/WebGL is unavailable.

Why not QEMU Wasm / v86?

QEMU-Wasm can run full system guests but is still experimental for picky 64-bit OSes. v86 is excellent for DOS / 32-bit Linux but weak for 64-bit TempleOS. Aiwnios targets HolyC and TempleOS behavior directly; the software shell fills the gap when WASM/WebGL is unavailable.
